Outpatient clinics at the Institute of Allergology

The proximity between research and the patient is an essential aspect of the Institute of Allergology. We offer special consultation hours covering all areas of allergology and, in close cooperation with our team of specialist physicians, we see ourselves as the first point of contact for complicated and complex cases, as part of the in-house cooperation with other specialist departments at the Charité within the scope of the Comprehensive Allergy Center Charité (CACC).

We diagnose and treat allergological and dermatological diseases with particular emphasis on:

  • Anaphylactic reactions
  • Angioedema
  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Autoinflammatory syndrome
  • Occupation-related allergies
  • Chronic pruritus
  • Eczema
  • Diseases of the respiratory tract (e.g., asthma)
  • Hereditary angioedema
  • Insect venom allergies (focusing on bee/wasp stings)
  • Contact allergies (e.g., nickel)
  • Mastocytosis
  • Drug allergies
  • Food allergies
  • Urticaria (hives)

Our services:

  • Comprehensive consultation, informed consent discussion, and diagnostics

  • A wide range of clinical studies looking into new types of therapy

What you should know before scheduling an appointment

Coronavirus pandemic
Please refer to the current rules for Charité patients and visitors.

We have moved – Two teams become one!
From April 2022, our University Outpatient Clinic for Allergology welcomes you to our new shared space in house 2 at Campus Benjamin Franklin.

Statutory health insurance
Before scheduling an appointment, patients with statutory health insurance coverage require a valid referral of a specialist (dermatologist or allergologist).

Preparing for your appointment
Please bring all available medical documentation or previous findings to your appointment. Please also bring all medication you are currently using to treat your allergy or any other conditions. A simple list of medications is not sufficient!
